This rendering of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy square-rigged
training bark "Eagle" shows the Spirit of '76 Ensign flying from her gaff. Note the absence of the red & blue diagonal
stripes and the "Coast Guard" letters on the hull. The original painting was a gift to Geoff Woodard, an older brother
of the artist.
